Fabio Massimo Pallottini was born in 1959 in Rome, Italy. He obtained a degree in law with a mention in economics from La Sapienza University of Rome. His area of expertise is economics, in particular issues concerning economic and territorial development, in which he has authored several publications.
Before becoming President of Italmercati in 2015, he used to work at Cargest S.r.l as CEO and later ARSIAL (Lazio Regional Agency for Agricultural Development and Innovation) as President.
Besides his mandate for Italmercati, Fabio Massimo Pallottini is the Managing Director of CAR ScpA, a company that owns and manages the Rome Wholesale Market, and where he is responsible for structure management and ensuring economic and production results. He is also teaching at the university Università di Roma 3.
In addition, he is currently Chairman of WUWM’s (World Union of Wholesale Markets) European Working Group.
